Sat May 19, 2012 Hiking with NetIP STL
When : Sat May 19, 2012, 10.00 am - 12.30pm
It's time to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather! Join NetIP STL on a a 1.5-hour hike on the Flint Quarry Trail at West Tyson County Park.
Just wear some good walking shoes, get some bottled water and last but not least, a camera.
For the faint-hearted, don't worry, we'll have plenty of rest stops!! :)
MEETUP : West Tyson County Park Parking lot
TRAIL INFO : The Flint Quarry Trail is a nice 2.5 mile loop that climbs up and then follows a ridge around the Quarry and then descends back down to where you started. It has a lot of shade for incase the shine is too much handle! ;)
There is another longer Chubb Trail for the Hiking enthusiasts!
Directions
I-44 to the Lewis Rd. exit just east of Eureka, north a few hundred yards to the entrance to West Tyson County Park. Take the park road past the fork to the left for the Chubb trailhead, to the parking lot at the end of the road. Ride past the normally closed gate on the pavement about 100 yards to the sign "Flint Quarry Trail"
